Re: Endorsement of Insurance Provider

I am pleased to announce to you the endorsement of FHM Insurance Company (FHM) as the endorsed provider of Worker’s Compensation insurance services to Florida’s hospitality industry. FHM is an insurance company providing coverage, cost containment, fraud prevention, reduction of medical costs, and comprehensive work place safety programs FHM coverage is available through over 300 agents in Florida.

Established in 1954, the company was created by hoteliers and has made a name for itself catering to the unique insurance needs of the hospitality market. A majority of FHM’s Board of Directors are hotel owners and operators. Board Vice Chairman and President, William Bond, Jr. is a second-generation hotelier, and has owned and managed a number of hotels in the St. Petersburg area. In 1990, Mr. Bond was awarded the title of “Florida’s Hotelier of the Year.”

No other insurance company knows the Florida hospitality industry as well as FHM. The company was originally created by the former Florida Hotel and Motel Association, and was widely viewed as a tremendous benefit to members of that group. According to Jack Healan of Amelia Island Plantation, “FHM helped reduce overall workers compensation costs by an average 30-50% per year and reduced medical costs by over 40% annually.”

FRLA takes seriously its’ commitment to providing Florida’s hospitality professionals the tools needed to reduce overhead and increase profits. FRLA continues to seek out partnerships that deliver a valuable service and when able, negotiate a cost effective rate for our members. We believe that the services provided by FHM offer real cost-savings by helping the operator reduce risk through time-tested methods.

I hope that you will take a look at what they have to offer and ask that your insurance agent contact FHM for a quote for your operation. And as always, I ask that when possible, you support the businesses that support the efforts of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association.

Sincerely,
Carol B. Dover
